Ho Ho Cake

Ingredients

Cake

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) box chocolate fudge cake mix

Filling

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (stick, not tub), at room temperature
  • 2/3 cup Crisco
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk

Topping

  • 1 plastic can ready-to-spread chocolate fudge frosting

Instructions

  1. Bake cake according to package directions in a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch baking pan.
  2. Let cake cool.
  3. Beat filling ingredients for 10 minutes on high speed until fluffy and smooth. Spread over cooled cake.
  4. Microwave the plastic can of frosting for 1 minute. Stir and pour over cake.
