Orange Pineapple Dream Cake




  • 1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow butter cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) soft margarine
  • 1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained

Dream Cake Icing

  • 1 large container Cool Whip
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 small box vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Add orange juice, margarine and vanilla extract to cake mix.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat for 4 minutes.
  3. Add oranges and beat until broken into small pieces.
  4. Bake in 3 (8-inch) pans for 25 minutes at 350 degrees F.
  5. Icing: Mix pineapple and pudding and mix well.
  6. Add confectioners' sugar and vanilla extract and mix.
  7. Fold in Cool Whip.
  8. Spread in between layers and on top of cake.
  9. Store in the refrigerator.
