Gooey Cheesecake Bars

If you have never had these, make them and see what you have been missing!

Yield: 24 bars

Ingredients

Bottom Layer

• 1 box yellow cake mix*
• 1 teaspoon water
• 1 stick butter, melted and cooled
• 1 egg

Top Layer

• 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
• 3 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 cups confectioners' sugar

Instructions

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish.

Bottom Layer

1. Mix cake mix, water, butter and 1 egg. Press into bottom prepared baking dish. (Wetting your fingers may help.)

Top Layer

1. Mix cream cheese, 3 eggs, vanilla extract and confectioners' sugar. Mix until completely smooth. Spread in pan over first layer.
2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 to 45 minutes.

Notes

* Use a different cake mix flavor. Lemon is great!
