Snickers or Milky Way Brownies

Ingredients

• 1 (18.25 ounce) box German chocolate cake mix*
• 3/4 cup melted butter
• 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
• 1 large bag Snickers or Milky Way bars

Instructions

1. Mix cake mix with melted butter and condensed milk. Spread out half of the mixture into a 13 x 9 inch pan.
2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes.
3. Slice candy bars into thin slices. Lay slices on top of the baked crust.
4. Crumble remaining batter on top of the candy bars. It will have a crumbly texture, and you do not need to spread it on top to make it smooth.
5. Return brownies to oven and bake for 20 minutes more.

Notes

* 18.25 ounce boxes of cake mix have been replaced by 16.5 ounce and 15.25 ounce boxes. To compensate for the volume loss in a 16 ounce box, whisk 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour into the dry cake mix before proceeding with the recipe. To compensate for the volume loss in a 15.25 ounce box, add 1/2 cup + 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon baking powder.
