Speedy Cutout Cookies



  • 1 (11 ounce) package Betty Crocker pie crust mix or sticks
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix pie crust mix, sugar and baking soda.
  3. Stir in egg, water and vanilla extract until dough holds together.
  4. Divide dough. Roll out 1/8-inch thick. Cut out shapes.
  5. Bake until edges are lightly browned, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  6. Remove from pan and let cool.
  7. Frost, if desired.
