Green Velvet Cake
Ingredients
Cake
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Green food coloring
White Cream Cheese Icing
- 1 box confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 8 ounces cream cheese
Instructions
Cake
- Combine eggs, sugar, oil and vinegar in bowl; mix well.
- Sift flour and baking soda together. Add to egg mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla extract and food coloring; mix well. Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes, cool.
- Frost with White Cream Cheese Icing.
White Cream Cheese Icing
- Mix all ingredients together well.
