Honey Cake



  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup soft margarine
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup applesauce


  1. Combine flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon in a mixing bowl.
  2. Cut in margarine.
  3. Add remaining ingredients; beat well.
  4. Stir in 3/4 cup raisins, if desired.
  5. Bake in a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan at 350 degrees F until the cake tests done, about 40 minutes.
