Old Fashioned Jam Cake




Cooked Filling


  1. Cream sugar and butter; sift flour baking soda and spices.
  2. Add alternately flour mixture and eggs into creamed sugar and butter.
  3. Last, add jam.
  4. Heat oven to 325 degrees F and pour mixture into well-greased and paper-line 9-inch layer pans.
  5. Bake about 30 minutes or until done.
  6. Let filling come to boil.
  7. While cakes are still warm, Pour a little filling at a time over each layer until it is used up. This makes the cake moist
