Red Velvet Cake 2

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 (2 ounce) bottle red food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and oil.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
  3. Add baking soda salt, vinegar, cocoa, food coloring and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. Add flour alternately with buttermilk.
  5. Pour into 3 (8-inch) well-greased cake pans.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until done.
  7. Frost with white icing.
