Maple Peanut Balls

Yield: about 8 dozen

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened (NO SUBSTITUTES)
  • 6 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon maple flavoring
  • 2 pounds dark chocolate candy coating
  • 1 cup chopped peanuts

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, confectioners' sugar and flavoring until smooth.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. Shape into 1 inch balls.
  4. In a microwave or heavy saucepan, melt candy coating, stirring often.
  5. Dip balls into coating; sprinkle with peanuts.
  6. Place on wax paper-lined baking sheets.
  7. Refrigerate.
