Marshmallow Cream Nut Candy

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter or butter substitute
  • 1/2 cup chopped marshmallows
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped raisins
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Boil sugar, milk, butter and salt to soft ball stage (234 to 238 degrees F).
  2. Remove from heat. Add marshmallows.
  3. Cool to room temperature.
  4. Beat until thick and creamy.
  5. Add nuts, raisins and flavoring.
  6. Pour into well-buttered, shallow pan.
  7. Cut into squares.
