Charleston Peach Leather


  • 2 pounds dried apricots
  • 1 pound dried peaches
  • Fine sugar


  1. Put fruit through a meat chopper twice, using the finest cutter.
  2. Sprinkle a board thickly with fine sugar. Put the fruit mixture on it and pat and roll it until it is 1/8 inch thick. Cut into 1 1/4 x 2-inch strips. Roll each strip into a tight roll.
  3. Store in a tightly closed box.
