Cheddar Cheese Fudge

Yield: about 3 1/2 pounds

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (1/2 pound) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) REAL butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered cocoa
  • 1 1/2 pounds confectioners' sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups (8 ounces) nonfat dry milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Have all ingredients at room temperature; combine in large mixing bowl. Beat until creamy ( it may be necessary to moisten mixture with 1/4 cup whole milk).
  2. Put into a buttered 9 inch square pan; chill.
  3. When firm, cut into 64 squares.

Notes

Drained maraschino cherries, flaked coconut, miniature marshmallows or chopped nuts may be added.
