Thelma Lou's Cashew Fudge

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 3/4 to 2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
  • 1 cup cashews


  1. Grease 9-inch square pan.
  2. In saucepan melt butter, and add brown sugar. Cook over low heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Add milk, continue to cook and stir until mixture boils.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  5. Gradually add confectioners' sugar until mixture is fudgy.
  6. Add nuts.
  7. Spread into prepared pan and let cool.
