Apple Relish
Ingredients
- 12 red bell peppers
- 12 green bell peppers
- 12 medium apples
- 6 onions
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 pint vinegar
- 1 pint sugar
Instructions
- Grind coarsely peppers, apples and onions. Sprinkle salt generously. Cover with boiling water and let stand 1 hour; drain well.
- Bring vinegar, sugar and spices to a boil. Add apple mixture and boil 10 minutes.
- Seal in clean hot jars.
