Souper Meat and Potatoes Pie


  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup fine, dry bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded


  1. Combine first 7 ingredients and press into a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes.
  3. Spoon off fat.
  4. Frost with mashed potatoes.
  5. Top with cheese.
  6. Return to oven for just a couple minutes to melt the cheese and heat the potatoes.
