Brooklyn Cafe Candied Matzo for Passover

Ingredients

  • 4 sheets matzo
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 12 ounces chocolate chips
  • 1 foil pan with small lip

Instructions

  1. In a pan mix and melt butter and brown sugar. Bring mix to a boil and keep stirring. Take off heat when thick.
  2. Lay matzo in pan. Pour mix over matzo.
  3. Bake at 400 degrees F for about 6 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with chocolate (nuts, white chocolate, colored sprinkles optional).
  5. Put into freezer.
  6. Break apart and eat.
