Dallas BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup onion
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon liquid hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a saucepan, over a medium flame bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 1 to 2 hours, until reduced by about one-third and thickened remove from heat.
- Puree in food processor or strain out onion, cool, cover and chill for 4 to 6
hours.
