Furr's Cafeteria Fruit Punch Gelatin Salad
Ingredients
- 3 (3 ounce) boxes mixed fruit gelatin
- 3 cups boiling water
- 2 1/2 cups cold water
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can fruit cocktail, drained
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
Instructions
- Place gelatin in a mixing bowl.
- Add 3 cups boiling water, stir to dissolve gelatin.
- Place the 2 1/2 cups cold water in gelatin and blend thoroughly.
- Pour 1 cup of gelatin into small bowl and set aside, but do not chill.
- Place gelatin in a serving dish or 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Chill gelatin until soft set.
- When gelatin is soft-set, remove from refrigerator.
- Place fruit cocktail that has been drained, on top of gelatin.
- Sprinkle coconut on top of fruit cocktail.
- Place marshmallows on top of all and arrange evenly.
- Press all very lightly with a spoon.
- Pour the reserved liquid gelatin mixture on top of marshmallows.
- Place gelatin back into the refrigerator until the salad is completely set.
