Long John Silver's Hush Puppies

Ingredients

• 1 cup self-rising flour
• 1 cup cornmeal
• 1 onion, chopped fine
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 egg
• Dash of Tabasco sauce
• Milk
• Oil (for deep frying)

Instructions

1. Mix first 8 ingredients together.
2. Add milk a little at a time until you have the right consistency.
3. Drop by tablespoonsful into oil one at a time.
4. Remove when golden brown.
