Majerle's Sports Grill Teriyaki Sauce and Glaze
Yield: 1 cup
Ingredients
Sauce
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sweet rice wine
- 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced ginger
Glaze
- 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
Sauce
- Combine ingredients in a saucepan on medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
Glaze
- Mix 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch with 1 tablespoon water. Heat sauce over medium high heat and add cornstarch-water mixture. Simmer until thickened.
