Texas Roadhouse Steak

Texas Roadhouse Steak recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 (1 pound) sirloin steaks
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients except steaks in a sealed zip-top bag. Seal the bag tightly and shake to combine all the ingredients.
  2. Generously place seasoning mixture on both sides of each steak.
  3. Let the steak sit with the seasoning on it for at least 40 minutes at room temperature to marinate the steak.
  4. Heat grill to 400 degrees F.
  5. Spray the grill gates with oil or wipe them with oil. I use vegetable oil but olive oil or canola oil will work great well.
  6. Place steaks on a hot grill and cook for 3 to 5 minutes depending on how you like the steak prepared.
  7. Flip the steak over and grill for an additional 3 to 5 minutes depending on how you like the steak prepared.
  8. Remove the steaks from the grill and allow them to rest for a minimum of 5 minutes before cutting or serving.
