The Carriage House Pecan Pie

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pecan pieces
  • 1 unbaked pie crust


  1. Make the pie crust and place in a 9 1/2-inch pie plate. Flute the edges of the crust and set aside.
  2. Cream the butter to soften and add the brown sugar.
  3. When creamy, add the syrup and salt and beat well.
  4. Add the eggs one a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Add vanilla extract and pecans and stir.
  6. Put the mixture into the unbaked pie shell.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 - 45 minutes.
