Jolly Breakfast Ring



  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 12 maraschino cherries
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons chopped nuts
  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 2/3 cup milk


  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Pour 2 tablespoons of melted butter into bottom of a 9-inch ring mold (or Bundt pan). Spread evenly.
  3. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
  4. Lay cherries in a pattern around the bottom of the mold. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup nuts.
  5. Mix sugar, cinnamon and 3 tablespoons nuts. Set aside.
  6. In separate bowl, combine Bisquick with milk. Beat 15 strokes. Batter will be sticky.
  7. Shape dough into 12 balls. Roll each ball in remaining 2 tablespoons melted butter, then roll in cinnamon mixture. Place balls in ring mold. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
  8. Turn breakfast ring upside down onto a plate while still warm, being very careful not to burn yourself.
