Santa Claus Milk



  1. Combine first three ingredients in a saucepan; cook over medium heat 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Heat thoroughly, but do not boil.
  2. Remove and discard cinnamon and cloves.
  3. Combine sugar and cornstarch; add the 2 tablespoons cold milk, stirring mixture until smooth.
  4. Add cold milk mixture to hot milk mixture, stirring constantly. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Ladle into mugs, and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Yield: 4 cups
