White Christmas Punch

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon almond extract
  • 1 1/2 gallons vanilla ice cream
  • 6 (2 liter) bottles lemon-lime carbonated drink

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan. Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add evaporated milk and almond extract; let cool.
  4. Chill until ready to serve.
  5. Combine milk mixture and remaining ingredients in punch bowl just before serving.
  6. Stir to break ice cream into small pieces.
