Mincemeat Bread



  1. Combine and sift flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Combine egg, milk, sugar, shortening and mincemeat. Add to flour mixture; stir only until dry ingredients are moistened.
  3. Bake in greased 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 4-inch loaf pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees F.
  4. Let stand 24 hours before cutting.

Yield: one loaf
