Rotterdam Banket




  1. Mix together the flour, baking powder, butter and water.
  2. Chill in refrigerator overnight.
  3. Combine eggs, sugar and almond paste to make filling. Mix with your fingers and dived into 8 pieces.
  4. Set in refrigerator for 24 hours.
  5. Roll dough 1/8-inch thick into 8 strips. Fill with almond mixture. Roll up and seal ends and edges; brush with remaining egg white. Slit with knife every 2 inches.
  6. Bake at 450 degrees F for 20 minutes, until brown.

Yield: 8 rolls
