Cranberry Christmas Cake with Butter Sauce




Butter Sauce


  1. Cream together butter, sugar and vanilla extract.
  2. Add milk, flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Fold in the cranberries last.
  4. Spread batter evenly in a greased 9-inch pan.
  5. Bake at 325 degrees F for 35 to 40 minutes.
  6. Serve warm with the butter sauce.
  7. Butter Sauce: Mix flour and sugar. Place all ingredients except the vanilla extract in saucepan. Heat, beating well until hot and bubbly. Remove from heat; add vanilla extract.
  8. Serve warm over the Cranberry Christmas Cake.
