Pecan Rum Cake

Ingredients

Cake

  • 1 box pecan Supermoist cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup pecans

Glaze

  • 1/4 pound butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rum

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Butter a Bundt pan.

Cake

  1. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the bottom of the prepared Bundt pan. Be generous!
  2. Mix together cake mix, eggs, oil, water and rum.
  3. Pour cake into prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
  5. Cool slightly, prick with a fork. Turn cake onto plate and then back into the pan.
  6. Slowly pour the glaze over the cake.

Glaze

  1. Boil together butter, sugar and water until slightly thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in rum.
