Pecan Rum Cake
Ingredients
Cake
- 1 box pecan Supermoist cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup rum
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup pecans
Glaze
- 1/4 pound butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup rum
Instructions
- Cake: Butter a Bundt pan, then sprinkle chopped pecans over the bottom. Be generous!
- Mix together cake mix, eggs, oil, water and rum.
- Pour cake into prepared pan.
- Bake at 325 for 50-60 minutes.
- Cool slightly, prick with a fork. Turn cake onto plate and then back into the pan.
- Slowly pour the glaze over the cake.
- Glaze: Boil together butter, sugar and water until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in rum.
