Pecan Rum Cake

Ingredients

Cake

  • 1 box pecan Supermoist cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup pecans

Glaze

  • 1/4 pound butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rum

Instructions

  1. Cake: Butter a Bundt pan, then sprinkle chopped pecans over the bottom. Be generous!
  2. Mix together cake mix, eggs, oil, water and rum.
  3. Pour cake into prepared pan.
  4. Bake at 325 for 50-60 minutes.
  5. Cool slightly, prick with a fork. Turn cake onto plate and then back into the pan.
  6. Slowly pour the glaze over the cake.
  7. Glaze: Boil together butter, sugar and water until slightly thickened.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in rum.
