Mint Meringue Trees

Instructions

  1. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar and salt until foamy and double.
  2. Beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until sugar dissolves and meringue forms firm peaks.
  3. Stir in mint and food coloring.
  4. Fit a star tip on pastry bag. Press onto cookie sheet in tiny tree shapes.
  5. Bake at 225 degrees F for 1 hour 15 minutes or until firm.
  6. Cool for 10 minutes.
