Almond Christmas Balls
Yield: 4 dozen
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 cup ground almonds
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- Candied or maraschino cherries
- Cream first five ingredients together.
- Roll a teaspoon of dough into a ball and press cherry into middle, covering cherry completely.
- Bake on greased cookie sheet 30 minutes at 325 degrees F.
- Roll in granulated sugar before cooling.
