Peppermint Pattie Cookies
Yield: about 36 cookies
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 (13 ounce) package York Peppermint Patties
Instructions
- Beat butter and sugar; add egg and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
- Add to butter mixture alternating with milk.
- Refrigerate dough 1 hour.
- Lightly grease cookie sheet.
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Remove wrappers from Peppermint Patties and cut the candy in half.
- Shape a small portion of dough around the peppermint pattie.
- Place on cookie sheet and lightly flatten.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Cool for 3 minutes before removing from the cookie sheet.
