Cranberry Cheese Bars




  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In large bowl, combine flour, oats, 3/4 cup brown sugar and butter; mix until crumbly.
  3. Reserving 1 1/2 cups of the crumb mixture, press remainder firmly on bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, beat cheese until fluffy.
  6. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk until smooth; stir in lemon juice.
  7. Spread evenly over prepared crust.
  8. In another small bowl, combine remaining 1 tablespoon sugar and cornstarch; stir in cranberry sauce.
  9. Spoon evenly over cheese layer.
  10. Top with reserved crumb mixture.
  11. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden.
  12. Cool.
  13. Chill.
  14. Store covered in refrigerator.

Yield: 24 bars
