Fudge Coconut Squares

Ingredients
Squares
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup baking cocoa
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup shredded coconut
Icing
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/4 cup baking cocoa
- 5 tablespoons evaporated milk
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Squares
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix well.
- Combine flour, cocoa and walnuts; add to the creamed mixture.
- Spread into a greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Combine sweetened condensed milk and coconut; carefully spread over the hot chocolate layer.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until coconut is lightly browned.
Icing
- Combine icing ingredients until smooth; spread over warm bars.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before cutting.
