Instructions

  1. In a bowl combine oats, flour, brown sugar and salt.
  2. Add butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Stir in pecans. Set aside 1 1/2 cup for topping.
  4. Press remaining crumb mixture into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. In a saucepan, combine milk, chocolate chips and shortening; cook and stir over low heat until chips are melted.
  6. Spread over crust; sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.
  7. Top with M&M's.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
