Instructions

  1. Cream butter.
  2. Gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg yolks and beat well.
  4. Gradually add flour and mix.
  5. Fold in nuts.
  6. Spoon 1/2 of the batter into greased square pan.
  7. Top with slices of guava paste.
  8. Cover with remaining batter.
  9. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees F until lightly browned.
  10. Cool completely before cutting.
