Honey Nut Bars

Ingredients

Bars

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup raisins

Glaze

  • 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Bars: Mix all ingredients together (will be thick). Press into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 18 to 20 minutes.
  3. Glaze while warm.
  4. Glaze: Cool thoroughly before cutting.

Makes 12 to 16 bars.
