M&M Cheesecake Squares

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup butter
• 1 cup unbleached all purpose flour
• 225 grams cream cheese, softened
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 3/4 cup M&M's candies
• 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
• 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
• 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1 large egg

Instructions

1. Beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add flour and walnuts, mix well.
3. Reserve 1/2 cup crumb mixture; press remaining crumb mixture into yjr bottom of sm 8 inch square pan.
4. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes.
5. Combine cream cheese, granulated sugar and vanilla extract, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended.
6. Add egg, mix well.
7. Layer 1/2 cup candy over crust; top with cream cheese mixture.
8. Combine remaining candy, chopped, and reserved crumb mixture; mix well.
9. Sprinkle crumb mixture over cream cheese mixture.
10. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
11. Cool and cut in to 16 equal squares.
