None Such Fruited Oatmeal Bars

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar and baking soda.
  3. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  4. Remove 3/4 cup of crumb mixture.
  5. Stir in nuts and set aside.
  6. Firmly press remaining crumb mixture into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  7. Crumble None Such into medium saucepan; add Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk.
  8. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat.
  10. Drop by small spoonsful atop crust in pan; spread carefully to cover crust.
  11. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture; press down lightly.
  12. Bake for 40 minutes or until top is golden.
  13. Cool on wire rack.
  14. Cut into bars.
  15. Store loosely covered at room temperature.

Yield: about 3 dozen bars
