Philadelphia Marbled Carrot Cake Bars

Yield: 32 servings, 1 bar each

Ingredients

  • 1 (15.6 ounce) package carrot quick bread mix
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract, divided
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Prepare bread mix as directed on package.
  3. Stir in cinnamon, nutmeg and 1 teaspoon of the vanilla extract.
  4. Spread batter into greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
  5. Mix cream cheese, sugar and remaining 1/2 teaspoon vanilla until well blended.
  6. Blend in eggs.
  7. Pour over batter in pan; cut through batter with knife several times for marble effect.
  8. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until cream cheese mixture is lightly browned.
  9. Cool in pan on wire rack.
  10. Cut into bars.
