Butter Pecan Brownies
Yield: 36 brownies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter (no substitutes)
- 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- Confectioners' sugar
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Melt butter in a 2 quart saucepan over medium heat (2 to 3 minutes).
- Add brown sugar; mix well.
- Cool for 10 minutes.
- Stir in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Add flour and salt; mix well.
- Stir in pecans.
- Spread batter into an ungreased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
- Bake for 22 to 27 minutes or until set.
- Cool completely.
- Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
