Butter Pecan Brownies

Yield: 36 brownies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter (no substitutes)
  • 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • Confectioners' sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Melt butter in a 2 quart saucepan over medium heat (2 to 3 minutes).
  3. Add brown sugar; mix well.
  4. Cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in eggs and vanilla extract.
  6. Add flour and salt; mix well.
  7. Stir in pecans.
  8. Spread batter into an ungreased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
  9. Bake for 22 to 27 minutes or until set.
  10. Cool completely.
  11. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
