Chocolate Syrup Brownies

Ingredients

Brownie

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon unsifted flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Frosting

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 6 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Brownie: Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  3. Stir in chocolate syrup.
  4. Mix in flour and nuts.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes.
  6. Cool, then frost.
  7. Frosting: Combine in saucepan. Bring to rolling boil, stirring constantly.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Beat until frosting holds its shape, then spread on cooled brownies.
