Raspberry Jam Brownies with
Raspberry Jam Chocolate Frosting




  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup raspberry jam
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts



  1. For Brownies: Place butter and chocolate in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH until butter and chocolate are melted, one to two minutes. Stir until smooth.
  2. Beat in sugar, vanilla extract and salt.
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in flour.
  5. Stir in jam and walnuts.
  6. Pour into a greased pan and floured 8-inch square pan.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven. Let stand in pan 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
  9. While brownies are cooling, make the frosting.
  10. For Frosting: Melt butter and chocolate chips together. Stir until smooth.
  11. Stir in raspberry jam and frost top of brownies.
  12. When cold, cut into one-inch squares.
