Raspberry Jam Brownies with
Raspberry Jam Chocolate Frosting
Ingredients
Brownie
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup raspberry jam
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Frosting
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup raspberry jam
Instructions
Brownie
- Place butter and chocolate in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH until butter and chocolate are melted, one to two minutes. Stir until smooth.
- Beat in sugar, vanilla extract and salt.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in flour.
- Stir in jam and walnuts.
- Pour into a greased pan and floured 8 inch square pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Let stand in pan 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
- While brownies are cooling, make the frosting.
Frosting
- Melt butter and chocolate chips together. Stir until smooth.
- Stir in raspberry jam and frost top of brownies.
- When cold, cut into 1 inch squares.
