Strawberry-Banana Brownies

Ingredients

• 12 medium strawberries
• 1 ripe medium size banana
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 (20 1/2 ounce) box brownie mix with walnuts
• 1/3 cup water
• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• 8 ounces soft-style cream cheese with strawberries
• 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted

Instructions

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
2. Remove stems and hulls from strawberries. Mash with banana; set aside.
3. Stir together eggs, brownie mix, water and oil until just moistened.
4. Stir in berry mixture.
5. Pour into the prepared baking pan.
6. Bake until brownies spring back when touched, 25 to 30 minutes.
7. Combine cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Spread over cooled brownies.
8. Cut brownies into squares.
9. Top each brownie with a strawberry slice, if desired.
10. Store covered in the refrigerator.
