Vanilla Brownies



  • 2/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 pound light brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 2/3 cups sifted flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans


  1. In a large bowl, add sugar to butter and blend well.
  2. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  3. Add flour, baking powder, salt, chocolate chips and pecans. Mix well.
  4. Spread in a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch pan.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes.
