Hermits

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
• 1 cup chopped raisins
• 3 eggs
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon cloves
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

1. Cream butter and sugar well; add raisins and eggs, beating well.
2. Sift dry ingredients and add to the mixture. Roll thin; cut into bars.
3. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 325 degrees F for 15 minutes.
