Mary Pickford Cookies

These make excellent holiday cookies by cutting into shapes, then frosting with red or green sugar crystals.

Yield: 5 dozen

Ingredients

• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup butter
• 3 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• Pinch of salt
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/4 teaspoon cloves

Instructions

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Mix above ingredients. Roll on flat surface. Cut into desired shapes.
3. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until browned.
4. Frost with sugar crystals.
