Butter Pecan Cookies

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans


  1. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Beat thoroughly.
  3. Add sifted dry ingredients and nuts. Mix well.
  4. Drop from a teaspoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees F for about 10 minutes or until delicate brown.
