Cream of Wheat Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cups raisins
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup uncooked quick or instant cream of wheat cereal
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a cookie sheet.
  2. Mix butter and sugar in large bowl.
  3. Add egg and beat well.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  5. Drop by teaspoonsful onto prepared cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.

Makes 3 dozen.
